The K.A.S. Officers' Research & Training Centre at Infantry Road, Bengaluru underwent comprehensive retrofitting and modernisation to transform the existing facility to hospitality standards comparable to a 3-star hotel.
The project included structural strengthening and capacity enhancement together with premium guest accommodation, upgraded toilets, contemporary interiors, false ceilings and a redesigned ACP-clad front elevation.
The overall built-up area was increased from approximately 26,073 sq ft to 31,766 sq ft while significantly enhancing the Centre's accommodation, training, recreational, dining and institutional infrastructure.
The project involved extensive retrofitting of the existing centre together with structural strengthening, capacity enhancement and complete modernisation of its institutional and hospitality facilities.
The upgraded accommodation includes 19 premium guest rooms, improved toilets, balconies and terrace facilities supported by contemporary interiors, premium finishes and modern false ceiling systems.
The external transformation included a redesigned façade with ACP cladding, paved external areas, landscaping and plantation works, creating a modern institutional identity for the Research & Training Centre.
The upgradation extended beyond the architectural and interior works to include major building services, power infrastructure and external development.
The works included transformer infrastructure, DG power backup, passenger lift, upgraded electrical, mechanical and utility systems, improved kitchens and associated building services.
Furniture and furnishings, paver works, landscaping and plantation works were also incorporated to complete the transformation of the facility into a modern institutional and hospitality environment.
